As someone who has used PMC services and counselling services in the past and present, I put a lot of value into the CUPE 2424 members. PMC has made it possible for me to do my exams and tests without worrying about hearing TAs talk, which triggers my anxiety. They also provide me and other students services such as notetakers and longer test taking time. PMC is very accommodating and is what makes Carleton such a accommodating school. When you refuse to even bargain with the CUPE 2424 union, it gives off the impression that they are not valued members in your union and that you do not care for people with mental disabilities. Carleton tries to maintain an accommodating and accepting image, yet has not considered how this strike affects people with disabilities. Please give the CUPE 2424 members a chance to be heard.
